There was a cruise we all got put on and my room had a chicken, but Sawamura kept it. I think it was the only chicken.

No, he's kind of mediocre. And sucks at dancing.

Do you have a coach or is he your coach?

Yeah, the president of Noel Japan Agency. And he's not a coach. Besides, I guess Tesshi would be closer to that, but he's more our manager.

Our managers don't really do that kind of thing, they're more there to support us. I guess it's different where you guys are already professionals, though.

But it's not a school club, is it? So it's more than that.

No, we don't even go to the same schools.

[ Three of the others go to private schools, Shun goes to a public one. And the last one doesn't go to school at all. ]

We're hired, but we haven't debuted yet.

[The idea of a team that isn't based on school affiliation is kind of an odd one but then there is one word that's very different that he can't help but notice. Hired.]

Do you get paid? Or that like getting drafted but you don't get paid until you debut?

[There's a whole process. He had no idea.]

[ They're not really a team though. They're not even friends. ]

Yeah, we get paid. It's a lot of work just getting routines and songs memorized properly and I don't know if it's how all agencies work, but Noel Japan Agency pays us.

So you're a professional that way. You get paid for what you're doing, even if it's just practice.

[That's the dream. Get paid for practicing baseball... if only.]

I guess, I haven't thought of it that way.

[Not really all that different either, though, but idols don't even have to compete!]

Well, do you have another job or just the rehearsals and performances?

[ Sure they do, just not the same way. They have to sell and stay interesting or they're dead to the world of showbiz. There's a lot of competing in different ways, just not in sport matches. ]

Like I would have time for that. I don't exactly have any free time with school and the agency.

Then that's your only job and you get paid for it. You got picked to do it and you're good enough that they want you to keep doing it. What else do you need to be a professional?
